Members that are no longer active can be archived or permanently removed from your account. The difference between archiving and removing is that archived members can always be restored if needed, while removed members are deleted permanently.

Removing a member will also delete all of their related data, while archiving a member preserves this information.

Archiving a member

To archive a member:

  1. Go to your Members in the People module

  2. Find the member you want to archive

  3. Click on Archive in the member context menu

Once a member is archived, they will no longer appear in the main list of members on the People page. You can always view your archived members by using the filters.

Permanently removing an archived member

To remove a member you will first need to archive them as per the steps above. Once archived, you can remove the member as follows:

  1. Go to your Members in the People module

  2. Use your filter to view archived members

  3. Find the member you want to remove

  4. Click on Remove in the member context menu

A modal dialog with information about the consequences of removing a member will appear. Please read these carefully. You will have to tick a checkbox to show that you understand the consequences, and will then be able to confirm removal.

Note: Removing a member cannot be undone, and we cannot recover their data for your from a backup. Please be absolutely sure that you want to remove the member before proceeding. Archived members don’t count towards your member limit, so consider keeping the member as archived instead.
