Learn how to set up your areas for bookings and events

If you are using Bookings or Events, you will need to set up some Areas that can be booked by members or for you to host events at.

Using the Areas module, let's explore how you can set these up.

By default, you should have some areas set up from your trial account. You can edit these by changing the name, and area times and adding a sponsor logo. Or, feel free to remove these, by selecting the context menu > remove and create new ones from scratch by selecting the green plus icon:

To set up an Area, you will need:

  • An area name (i.e Court 1, Table 2)

  • Area times

  • Sponsor logo (optional)

Bookings

Once you have set up your area and have related it to an activity, you can visit the Booking calendar, under the Members menu, and see your areas show as bookable locations for that activity:

The area times you've set will determine when the above time slots begin and end.

Events

You can now use your areas to host your events. An example of this could be a club night and you need to block out the area for the event. When setting up an event, you will be prompted to select an Activity and an Area:


Once your event is set up in your areas, members will be able to see the activity and its correlating areas on the event overview:
