How are coaches different from regular members?
Members can be marked as being a coach, which can be useful for sports clubs that want to advertise their coaches to the public.
Coaches can choose to have their details listed on the home page, so it's a good way to promote their services to members and casual players which login to Hello Club.
Other than that, coaches don't get any special permissions by default, but you can assign different permissions for them, allowing them more flexibility when making bookings for example.
Assigning coaches
Here's how to flag a member as being a coach:
Go to your Members in the People module and find the member
Click on their name or use the Edit option in the context menu
Open the Member Details card
Click on the Coach tab
Next, tick the checkbox indicating the member is a coach:
Managing visible coach details
After a member has been marked as a coach, you can manage what contact details should be visible on the home page using the privacy settings.
Use the coach description field to enter any other information you want to display about the coach.
Note that once members are flagged as a coach, they will be able to manage their coach description and privacy settings themselves as well by visiting their Profile page.
