If you need to collect additional information during the booking process, you can create custom fields and control whether they are required or optional. Custom fields can be configured per booking mode, giving you full flexibility over what information is collected.
You can choose from the following custom field types:
Text input
Paragraph text input for longer text
Dropdown with predefined options
Multiple choice list with predefined options
Date selection
How to add a booking custom field
To add a booking custom field:
Go to the Settings module
Open the Custom fields card and select Bookings
Click the green Add field button to add a new field
Specify a label and field type
If you selected a Dropdown or Multiple Choice field, specify the options to choose from by entering each option on a new line
Press Save to save your custom field
After saving, you can mark the field as required or optional. The new field will then appear in your list of booking custom fields.
How to enable the custom field for bookings
Custom fields can be enabled per booking mode, allowing you to tailor the booking form for different activities.
To enable a custom field:
Go to your Activities module
Click into your activity
Select the Modes section
Click into a mode and navigate to the second page
Use the checkboxes to select the custom fields you want to enable
Repeat this process for any additional modes as needed.
Once enabled, the selected custom fields will appear during the booking process to be completed when making a booking for that mode
