The Waitlist feature is only available on V2 for events that use a free rule and fee set. Waitlist can be enabled for single-day, multi-day, and recurring events, as long as a maximum attendee limit is set.
Enabling the Waitlist
To enable the waitlist on an event, follow these steps:
Create your event and set a Rule and Fee Set to “Free Entry”.
In the event settings, set a maximum attendee limit.
Once a max attendee limit is added, the “Allow waitlist” option will appear.
Tick the Allow waitlist checkbox to enable the feature.
Note: The Waitlist feature is currently in beta and may change in future updates.
Where to find the Waitlist
After your event is created, go to the Attendance section of the event. You will now see a Waitlist tab, where all waitlisted attendees will appear once they sign up.
Note: If you would like to move an attendee to the waitlist, you will need to cancel them from the attendee list first, then manually add them to the waitlist tab.
How the Waitlist works
Once your event reaches its maximum capacity (e.g. 10 attendees), the waitlist is automatically activated.
When the event is full, users can join the waitlist instead of the main attendee list.
Admins can also manually add users to the waitlist.
If someone cancels their attendance, the system will automatically move the next person from the waitlist into the attendee list.
How to Disable the Waitlist
You can disable the waitlist in one of the following ways:
Remove the maximum attendee limit
This will disable the waitlist and automatically move all users on the waitlist into the event attendee list.Select “Disable waitlist”
This will turn off the waitlist feature and remove all current waitlisted users from the waitlist. These users will not be added to the attendee list.
Important notes
The waitlist is available for public events.
If “Allow members to sign up guests to this event” is enabled, members cannot add guests to the waitlist.
